Launch of Tanzania Digital Youth Empowerment Program

Launch of Tanzania Digital Youth Empowerment Program funded by The Danish Royal Embassy 

The Danish Royal Embassy funds a program worth 2.5 Bilion Tanzanian Shillings to support youth, women and the maginalised in Tanzania.

The launch was officiated by Hon.- H.E Einar Hebogard Jensen the Ambassador of the Danish Royal Embassy.
The programme named as Tanzania Digital Innovation Youth Empowerment Programme (TADIYE), is an innovation and entrepreneurship ecosystem development initiative designed to inspire and promote youth (especially women and marginalised) with ideas and starting businesses, scale up and become technology-based start-ups entrepreneurs in Tanzania with support from Dar Teknohama Business Incubator (DTBi) and the Royal Danish Embassy, plus other key stakeholders having the same vision. The project will provide entrepreneurship skills and knowledge blended with computer business skills and seed funding to winners of a business plan challenge. The project will run for eighteen months and will reach youth throughout the country through a digital entrepreneurship learning platform to be developed by DTBi innovative entrepreneurs, with contents developed by entrepreneurship experts from IMED.

Dr. Amos Nungu the acting Director General of Tanzania Commission for Science and technology (COSTECH), closing a stakeholders feedback workshop on the Tanzania Digital Youth Empowerment programme funded by the Danish Royal Embassy.
